Understanding Tiny Text Formats
Tiny and small text has become a massive trend across social media profiles. It allows users to write neat secondary subtitles in their bio (such as occupation, location, or credits) without occupying excessive visual space.
The Three Types of Small Text:
- Small Caps (sᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘs): Lowercase letters rendered with uppercase glyph shapes. Extremely clean and professional for creative bios.
- Superscript (ˢᵘᵖᵉʳˢᶜʳⁱᵖᵗ): Miniature characters elevated above the baseline, originally designed for mathematical powers ($x^2$) and footnote references.
- Subscript (ₛᵤᵦₛ𝒸ᵣᵢₚₜ): Characters lowered below the baseline, commonly used in chemical formulas ($H_2O$) and index notations.
