How Braille Works
Braille is a tactile writing system developed by Louis Braille in 1824. Each Braille cell consists of 6 raised dots arranged in a 3x2 grid. In Unicode, code points U+2800 through U+28FF represent every mathematical 6-dot and 8-dot permutation.
